Alexis Martin Neely, J.D.

Alexis Neely, J.D. began her career at the prestigious law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olsen. She left the firm after three years to start her own firm, Martin Neely & Associates, when she recognized that the hourly billing model of the traditional lawyer didn’t match up with her dream of creating a personal relationship with her clients. After only a short time in practice on her own, Alexis had what she now calls an epiphany when she recognized that everything about the traditional business model of the small firm lawyer was broken. She then set out to create a whole new business model that left behind hourly billing and focused on proactively serving her clients. And that was the genesis of the Client Engagement System™. Within three years, Alexis had used this system to build an annual revenue of more than one million dollars per year.

Alexis has now built 2 million dollar businesses, published a bestselling book and appeared on many of the top television shows as a legal expert, all while raising two kids. Today, she trains, coaches and strategizes with business owners on how to build a sustainable business that makes a difference in the lives of their clients and customers.

Hitch McDermid, MSc., CEO

Hitch McDermid graduated Phi Beta Kappa at University of California, Santa Cruz and obtained a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics. Prior to taking over as Chief Executive Officer of the Family Wealth Planning Institute, he worked in project manager roles for the United Nations and World Bank, helped launch the Casual Businesswear Department as a Marketing Manager at Levi Strauss & Co., served as the Director of Marketing at Rentals.com, and the Vice President of Marketing at Cycore Computers (Sweden). He also owned his own real estate business and became one of the top tier agents in San Francisco.

Currently Hitch is strategically managing and positioning the Family Wealth Planning Institute and Client Engagement System™ to better serve lawyers throughout the United States.
